Aistear Curriculum

Aistear is Ireland’s Early Childhood Curriculum, running from birth to 6 years. It continues up to senior infants in Primary School. Aistear is the Irish word for journey. The Aistear framework has four headings: Identity and Belonging, Exploring and Thinking, Communication and Well-being.

Each heading has four aims and from each aim there is six learning goals. I hope the four posters below make this clearer for you.
